What do overdose & bioavailability mean?
As a rule, food supplements have very poor bioavailability. This means that the active ingredients taken, such as vitamin D, are barely absorbed by the body. Many products have to be massively overdosed in order for anything at all to reach the cells. Excess active ingredients can then lead to an overdose and pose considerable health risks in the long term.
The solution to this widespread problem is to maximise the absorption capacity of the active ingredients (bioavailability) in the body.
